Las Vegas locals and visitors alike are currently grappling with the increasingly congested traffic that has become a significant issue in the area. The upcoming Formula One Las Vegas event will obstruct everyone’s view from certain pedestrian bridges strategically located on the Strip. Furthermore, the event has resulted in narrowing the streets along the Strip and Koval Avenue to just one lane in various sections. Thereby intensifying the already heavy traffic flow. As the date approaches, one can expect that the situation will only become more challenging as both participants and spectators converge, putting even greater strain on the city’s roadways.
Expect construction changes along the Formula One Las Vegas race route every day. After 9 pm, is usually when the construction crews are out on the race track making changes. You can expect some lanes on the race track to merge down to one lane. In some areas on the strip, north of the Bellagio, pedestrians are unable to walk along the sidewalk. It’s better to walk on the east side of the Strip, especially during the Formula One Las Vegas event.
If you are on the Strip, you should be fine with navigating the traffic chaos accompanying an event of this magnitude. However, if your accommodations are not directly on the Strip, give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination. The congestion can be exacerbated by the various pockets of traffic, so flexibility in your travel plans is highly advisable. Above all, prioritize safety and remember to enjoy every moment of the exhilarating Formula One Las Vegas experience!
