Discover free parking and affordable transportation on the strip. Navigating the bustling Las Vegas Strip can be frustrating. In search of parking can often be not only time-consuming but also quite costly, presenting challenges that many visitors face during their stay in this vibrant city. However, there are options for free parking and affordable transportation that can make your visit much more convenient. Free parking and affordable transportation options can truly enhance your travel experience.
Free and Affordable Parking Options
Treasure Island Las Vegas
Treasure Island is conveniently located on the bustling center strip of Las Vegas. For visitors looking for free parking, this prime location makes it an ideal place to park, as you will find yourself within walking distance to a multitude of exciting attractions, entertainment venues, and dining options. Walk across the bridge to access The Wynn Resort Hotel and the Grand Canal Shops instead of paying $20 for self-parking. For those seeking free parking and affordable transportation options, this is a top choice.
Circus Circus Hotel and Casino
A little north of the strip, you will always find complimentary self-parking for guests and visitors at Circus Circus. The self-parking garage is located off Circus Circus Drive. Valet parking is less than half the cost of valet parking at the more popular resort hotels on the Strip. It’s an easy walk to the Fontainebleau Hotel and Resorts World. Many opt for Circus Circus due to its combination of free parking and the ease of affordable transportation options nearby.
Sahara Hotel and Casino
Farther north, another complimentary self-parking option is at the Sahara. Valet and self-parking are always free, another win. Enter the garages off Las Vegas blvd. or Paradise Rd. This hotel features both free parking and several affordable transportation alternatives.
The Strat Hotel and Casino
Farthest north is the Strat Hotel. It is adjacent to Atomic Golf. Unfortunately, self-parking is $20 for guests. However, locals with a valid Nevada I.D. have free in and out parking privileges. Even at this northern location, visitors and locals alike can find both free parking and easily accessible, affordable transportation options.
Free and Affordable Tram and Monorail Options
Mandalay Bay Tram
The Mandalay Bay tram is free. The tram connects Excalibur – The Luxor – Mandalay Bay seven days a week from 10 am until 12 am. Instead of parking along the Strip, jump on the tram and then connect to another tram to go further north on the Strip. For many, the Mandalay Bay tram is the perfect example of free transportation options that support affordable travel between key locations.
Aria Express Tram
To go further north, catch the Aria Express Tram which is also free. It operates seven days a week from 8 am until 2 am. The tram connects the Bellagio, Vdara, Park MGM, The Shops at Crystals, and Aria. The Aria Express Tram is indeed a great choice for those looking for affordable transportation without any parking costs.
The Las Vegas Monorail
The automated monorail travels 3.9 miles next to the Strip. There are seven stations: MGM Grand, Horseshoe/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/The Line, Boingo Station at the Convention Center, Westgate, and the Sahara Station. The monorail train arrives every 4 to 8 minutes. The monorail runs seven days a week and starts at 7 am until 3 am on the weekends. It’s best to get an all day pass. You can also buy up to seven days for greater discounts. You can get tickets at the stations or at https://www.vegas.com. For extensive and affordable transportation, the Las Vegas Monorail is unparalleled.
Public Bus Transportation
The Deuce
If you want to go all the way north to Downtown, take the Deuce. It travels from Fremont Street pass the Strip to the South Premium Outlet on Las Vegas blvd and Warm Springs. The Deuce runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An all day pass cost $8 and a 2-hour pass cost $6. This route highlights yet another method of obtaining free parking and accessing affordable means of transportation.
